About Pinned Together
I'm Cara Westhouse, and I created Pinned Together during challenging times in Minnesota as a small but meaningful way to turn my frustration into creativity to support our community. I felt like I needed to help, but with a young hockey-playing son and busy full time job, I struggled to get involved in organizations with meetings and activities during the day. One night, on a whim, I ordered a pin maker online so I could make my own pins with messages of support and resistance. It began as a few handmade pins to raise money for Immigrants in Minnesota needing support, and turned into something bigger!
Pinned together is an effort to support social and political causes that promote justice, inclusion, and compassion. Every design is rooted in the belief that even small symbols can spark conversation and connection. All proceeds are donated directly to organizations working to strengthen our communities, protect human rights, and promote love, acceptance, and dignity for everyone.
